Description:

A pretty abundant dragonfly if the right habitats are chosen, but incredibly difficult to shoot. I practically never stops flying and, despite seeing many, this was the only shot I took!

Habitat:

"The species occurs at standing and intermittently-flowing, soft and brackish waters, more rarely at permanently slow-running waters."

It is a great shot though! I had to wait about 30 mins for a a male emperor to land for a few seconds on a stick and the same with the Brown hawker!

You're right Frederic. These rarely "fly still", but they do slow down at times and that's when the chances to focus are higher. This is not the shot I wanted which was a frontal shot, but it still does its job! Thank you.

Nice capture. It's hard to capture them flying. Sometime they simply 'fly still' and stop to move in the air. This is a good moment do do the focus and take a shot. Nice photograph!
