Description:

The different kinds of gulls are often difficult to identify. I may be wrong in my ID. The Ring-billed Gull has a light gray mantle; wing tips black (none) bill yellow with black ring near tip, yellow legs. Gulls undergo both seasonal growth and changes in plumage.

Habitat:

Lakes, rivers, coasts, garbage dumps. This one was spotted at Willoughby Lake in VT.
