Description:

The Red-legged Buprestis is a metallic wood-boring beetle or jewel beetle. This particular one was about 3/4 inch long. Part of his left wing cover was missing near the back.

Habitat:

Patio of a house very near a deciduous forest and man-made lake. Pyamtuning Lake, Andover OH, Ashtabula County, USA.
