Description:
Tree trunk with many holes and frass toothpicks projecting out of some of them.
Habitat:
Citrus trees that had been severely damaged by several days of hard freezes.
Notes:
When I recently saw an adult Rustic Borer beetle on one of these citrus trees I wondered if it might be the beetle responsible for these frass straws.https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1153065245
