Field Notes

Description:

This plant doesn't look very remarkable but it's what on the inside that counts. These vines, when mature, contain plenty of fresh drinking water that is perfect if you're lost in the jungle or run out of water on a really long hike. My guide could always find them, but I couldn't get a more specific ID from him.

Habitat:

amazon

Notes:

I love these water vines. I've drank out of them a few times and they are always delicious and refreshing. You need safe and fresh water in the jungle and Mother nature provides. Tupana Aru reserve.
