Lacewing Eggs
Chrysopidae sp.
35.0993, -92.4664
Field Notes
Description:
The tiniest little lacewing eggs. They are structured like little balloons on stalks to deter predators and cannibalization. This is my first time finding any. There seemed to be only a few scattered like this, no cluster or spiral.
Habitat:
Found on the edge of a mimosa sapling in an untended landscaping bed.
Notes:
I actually found these in the night with a blacklight and came back later for pictures.
