Field Notes

Description:

Common bracket fungus, grows in tiers. Each bracket is semi-circular with the upper surface is zoned with concentric rings of different colours.

Habitat:

On a dead tree stump in an area of lakes and a Site of Special Scientific Interest and nature reserve in Warwickshire. 220 acres that was reclaimed after gravel extraction.
