Field Notes

Description:

A typical individual clearly showing the characteristic white spots, each surrounded by a black ring, all over the head and body.

Habitat:

Known from rocky shores. Widely distributed in the Indo-Pacific.

Notes:

Every winter, there will be lots of sea slugs appear in Taiwan's north-east coast. They will lay their eggs, which are really like noodles, in shallow water. Among them, eyed sea hare is the most common species. When spring comes, their number will decrease.
