Description:

First time I saw one of these moths with uplifted rear legs, I thought it could be some specific problem of that moth. But now, finding another one, it looks like a characteristic of the species.

Maybe it is a defensive posture. In case they need to take off . They have 4 legs perched so that they can be sitted comfortably.
