Description:

It was a remarkably big mushroom, may have been at least one foot in length!

Habitat:

Woodlands of Drumnadrochit.

Thanks for the ID! It was huge! bigger than a foot!
Yes, it was definitely a pine tree forest and the mushroom was below the trees. It was a bit far in between the trail and a ditch so unfortunately I could not take a closer look.
I suspect a photo of the pores and stem would be necessary. Is that pine that it's growing under do you know?
Thanks Lipase! yes, I think is a bolete but I still need to find at least the genus :-)
