Habitat:

Mixed forest at Denali National Park and Preserve

Thank you Marta! You're right, definitely a Clubmoss. Not sure if it's L. clavatum but may very well be. I have it at the genus level for now but will take another look tomorrow. :)
I think is the clubmoss species I suggested above. I checked and it seems to be found in Alaska and Canada as well. Here is another web page: http://sagebud.com/running-clubmoss-lycopodium-clavatum/
