Description:

Black and white moth (my point-n-click camera misinterpreted the white as yellow-green in these pictures because of reflections from the nettle leaves)

Notes:

May be either Desmia maculalis or Desmia funeralis. Since identification cannot be made from photos, BugGuide collapsed the two into a single page:
