Description:

Large, beautiful caribou was very restless because of the mosquitoes. It would graze for a few seconds then run to another location. "Their name does not derive from the animal porcupine, but from the Porcupine River which runs through a large part of their range."

Habitat:

Tundra at Denali National Park and Preserve

He also seems to be molting his fur so this may attact the mosquitoes to his skin even more..poor one!..that is one big annoyance: the mosquitoes and flies in the summer months in northern grasslands!
