Field Notes

Notes:

This raccoon knows how to climb up past the baffle that keeps the squirrels out of the bird feeders. He sat there for 15 minutes enjoying the seeds.

Thanks for the nice comments Hema, Dilan, outsidegirl, bg11a22 and Fyn. With a face like that, how could I scare him away before he had enough to eat:-)
Nice spotting, really cute!
too cute! You are having fun with your bird feeders, aren't you ?:)
Thanks Jamie. They're usually more active at night, but this one came out an hour before sunset.
he's caught red handed! so cute i don't think I've ever seen a raccoon at my feeder.
I caught the masked bandit:-)
I don't mind him once in a while. He didn't eat too much and didn't damage the feeder like the squirrels will do. And he's still afraid of people, when I opened the door, he jumped off and ran into the woods.
I am sure that you would not want them around the feeder. Very nice picture.
Bill, he sure did figure it out. He worked hard to get up there, so I just let him eat what he wanted. Plus he's wet and cold and I felt sorry for him:-)
Ha! He's got that figured out Tom! Amazing:)
