Field Notes

Description:

Plant is about 30 cm tall. The leaves are spikey and pale green.

Habitat:

Growing in a damp,mossy depression in basalt rock along the Bay of Fundy shore. I also saw them further inland, again in a boggy/mossy location.

Thanks. It looked like an orchid to me but I wasn't sure. It was beautiful in any case.
