Description:

Red-shouldered Hawk of some kind that perched on a dead tree at some distance.

Habitat:

Along an inland fresh-water canal in western Boca Raton, FL

Notes:

This bird regularly does fly-bys and frightens off all the birds in my backyard.

Thank you Liam. I do see that the first photos are clearly a Red-shouldered hawk. I was puzzled that the last photo looked different but it was taken only a few minutes earlier and I watched the bird fly from one branch to another. Or so I thought. I guess there were two flying around. It baffles me though. I can see how the last photo looks like a cooper's. I must be going crazy...
