Sorry, after checking closer, I think this is the summer female: http://mothphotographersgroup.msstate.edu/MothTalkDownload/MothTalk011.htm Males are much more yellow. :-)
Okay, I'll go with that. I don't see the markings on the upper forewing in my Peterson guide, but the common name is "variable".
Lovely moth! I think this is the summer male form of Antepione thisoaria.
