Field Notes

Description:

Non venomous. Great climbers.

Habitat:

It is abundant around our house and yard.

Notes:

May actually be Eastern Rat snake as the sitting is east of the Appalachicola River. I often find them in my chicken coop eating eggs. Second picture shows one with 3 baby bluebirds which had just eaten. I have taken chicken eggs out of their mouths. They coat the eggs with extremely slimy mucus. Hard to wash it off.
