Description:

white to off-white cluster of soft shaggy tooth-like projections. cluster about 2 in. diameter. each tooth close to 3/4 in. in length

Habitat:

on dead wood in Prospect Park Brooklyn

Notes:

produced a white spore print. Because it was found growing on very dead wood I'm going with Hericium americanum for the ID.
