Description:

The large atlas moth has the greatest wing surface area of the lepidopterans but not the widest wingspan. The adult moth does not feed.

Habitat:

Spotted in captivity. Native to Southeast Asia. Forest dweller.

Notes:

Spotted at the Florida Museum of Natural History's Butterfly Rainforest.
