Description:

Locally called Vlei Lily.

Habitat:

Impalila Island near the baobab in slightly marshy soil

Notes:

They are not the same as the crinum lily that also get given this common name. And although someone suggested ginger as a possible ID they didn't have the right type of leaf structure

I looked at the photos and while the colors and leaf veining are the same, I see many differences: 1. The leaves aren't on a center stalk, but all come up from the ground. 2. the flower is more rigid and slightly tubular
