Field Notes

Description:

It has red on the dorsal surface of the eyes and a mottled yellow and brown abdomen. The face is dirty white or yellowish. Round spot at base of hindwings is characteristic but may be difficult to see.

Flies almost continuously, but does perch sometimes, vertically on twigs of trees, bushes.

Habitat:

Perched on bush growing beside trickle trough in greenbelt.
