Woah, that is huge! Welcome to Noah Danielle, you have a very interesting collection starting.
I spotted a pair in Oklahoma just last week. The males are smaller than the females, but man, they sure are colorful! http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/34466011 http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/34805036
Yours is a female. And I hate to burst your TX bubble, but since they are in other states, one could easily say this is an "Indiana-sized walkingstick." ;-) Great spotting! beaker98: These are also found in Illinois, so don't settle for 3 inch stick insects. :-D
Good Lord! That thing is huge! Our walking sticks in Illinois are only 3 inches or so. Great shot!
