Description:

Only about 2 cm in length, bright red insect with white horizontal stripes on its body and two little black wings, black legs and antennae.

Habitat:

Circle B Bar Reserve, Lakeland, FL

I have to come clean . . . it was actually my wife that spotted this one ;). She said, "Do you want a picture of that?" and I said, "Yes, I do!"
That is one bright insect - very nice spotting!
This is awesome. I have never seen one before and in Florida no less...great spotting!
