Field Notes

Habitat:

Scrubby range land

Notes:

I saw this introduced gamebird outside of the Bird of Prey Museum in Idaho. I took the picture with a disposable camera when I was probably 9 years old. My Dad knows about Chukar because he used to hunt them. He told me that they are secretive and hard to find. They often stay on brushy slopes.
