Description:

I have placed this mushroom in the Bolete family based upon the Audubon Society Field Guide to Mushrooms. It was found on the ground along the road near our campsite at Pocomoke River State Park in Pocomoke City, Maryland. It was the only one around.

Habitat:

Forest campground at Pocomoke River State Park in Pocomoke City, Maryland.
