Field Notes

Habitat:

I found this little one while it was searching a rock pile for food I presume. The alum fork of the Saline River is where it was spotted, the water is normally clear and cool. Heavily cobble substrate in the riffles, this one was found on a rock pile on off of the 10 foot deep main river channel.

Good information so I added it to the habitat section so that people see that right away. Thanks.

Could you please tell us something about how and where you saw this young one? You could add that information to the habitat section.
