Spiny Ophiocoma

Ophiocoma echinata is native to the tropical west Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. It is common throughout the Caribbean at depths down to about 30 metres (98 ft). It occurs in seagrass meadows, on reefs and reef flats, hiding under rocks, in cracks and crevices, under coral heads, and inside sponges.

This one was spotted in Bari Reef (Bonaire) during a night dive.
