Field Notes

Description:

Araneae; Araneidae; Neoscona; Neoscona molemensis Tikader & Bal, 1981. I see this species with increasing frequency in our area which (I assume) indicates that it is generally doing well in this environment. Of course, I understand that it is quite possible that I am seeing them more often, simply because I am out and about looking for them. There is no science here, I just like the look of this spider and I am always happy to see another one.

Habitat:

Spotted in our backyard on a small Citrus sp. in a flowerpot.
