Stick Insect, Phasmid - Female

Female Phasmid of the species Orthostheneboea yehi. This species was newly placed in the newly created genus, Orthostheneboea in 2016. It was originally described as Parastheneboea yehi in 1999. Males of this species are not known yet.

Seen in the high altitude mossy forest above 2,000 masl, she has lots of spines from her head to her abdomen with greenish appendages on both sides of her abdomen to camouflage very well among the mossy substrate.
