Field Notes

Description:

Banded Tiger Moth (Apantesis vittata). Could not determine if this was a banded tiger moth or a harnessed tiger moth. They look so much alike to me. This poor little moth in this picture looks kind of ragged. It was spotted on the concrete slab outside the bathhouse at Pocomoke River State Park in Pocomoke, Maryland.

Habitat:

Pocomoke River State Park, Pocomoke, Maryland
