Field Notes

Description:

This young moose was doing what we call a "moose run" where it sees a vehicle, and instead of going off to one side of the road it runs straight ahead of you. The funny part was that it was on the side of the road and actually ran out in front of us rather than back in the woods when we came up next to it. We stopped after it started running in front of us, and then it finally realized it had to get off on one side.

Habitat:

Location is not exact. Somewhere along the Alaskan Highway in Canada.
