Field Notes

Description:

A poorly butterfly; found trapped with a stone on either wing. I didn't know what plant it might like or if it would survive so I just put it on a random plant maybe some sort of seaside bladderwort with white flowers. Thanks Jimmy and Jakubko for the ID's, very interesting. thanks for the favourite Jakubko! The nbngateway site show the map of mainland Britain saturated with recordings of this butterfly: http://www.searchnbn.net/interactive/map.jsp?srchSp=NHMSYS0000504624 or here http://www.searchnbn.net/imt/?mode=SPECIES&species=NHMSYS0000504624
