Field Notes

Description:

Pretty sure this is a fungi? Affected almost all of the leaves on this plant. (Wish I knew what kind of plant it was)

Habitat:

Low shrub like plant (I think?) that was near a creek.

Notes:

Only one plant was affected, but it was close to 90% of the leaves undersides had it.

That explains how the leaves can look ok still.. this fungus is systemic.
Judging by the leaf, the plant might have been a blackberry or some such from Rosaceae family. Very interesting spotting, Lucky. Thanks for sharing.
Hmmm... it sure has the shapes of fungi but I'm not sure. Fungi fruiting bodies are the outward indicators of decay inside and this leaf looks perfectly fresh and healthy to me. How about some arthropod action?
Weird. Kind of looks like spores on the back of a fern, but they're totally irregular.
