Notes:

I think this is called Red-banded Leafhopper, but I am not sure.

according to N American insects, Eaton/Kaufman there are 17 species
Karen, thank you for sharing this. I agree, it is exciting to find new information.
When I posted mine I was thinking Coccinia until I started looking on bug guide and other sites and realized there are many of these colorful little gems. I'm kind of excited to learn this :)
