Description:

A common, medium sized, species of toad found throughout the eastern United States and Canada. They can change color depending on humidity, stress, and temperature. They can be anything from yellow to brown to black.

Habitat:

Mixed woods

Notes:

Found this toad living in a damp pipe in a stone wall at an out of the way restaurant. Lots of woods surrounding the area with a stream nearby.

Again, thanks for the suggestion. Did some searching and looked at some American toad photos....definitely what I saw!
Thanks for the ID suggestion. It was hard to get a great photo as it was dark out and I was only using my phone. I'll look up the American toad and see if it looks like what I saw.
Looks like an American toad but the image is slightly off to really tell.
