Description:

Dark brown shelf fungi, some with yellow margin, two perhaps partially eaten attached to end of cut log.

Habitat:

Pacific coastal redwood forest.

Notes:

Spotted alongside a trail in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park.

Species ID Suggestions

Thanks Vlad, I agree. Fomitpsis Pinicola seems a good possibility.
If this mushrooms grows on a coniferous tree, it might be Fomitpsis Pinicola.
