:/ wow it's complicated, thank you so much @bayucca
In this case, Tiger Moth is appropiate, since Tussock Moths are actually from Erebidae, Lymantriinae. Given names arenot always easy to understand...
De nada - y felicidades con esta observacion!
Aun así @Maria dB muchas gracias por ayudarme, lo aprecio mucho :)
Bayucca is an expert, while I am not, so it is probably better to put Tiger moth as the common name as it is not at all certain that it is a banded tussock moth. It's a beauty, whichever specific species it is!
Muchisimas gracias por el ID! @Maria dB :')...wooow I had no idea how complicated it was :/ thank you so much! @bayucca and @Mona Pirih for the comment :)
Awesome moth !!! Love the hair color :) Beautiful spotting, Billo..
I would go with Halysidota sp., we cannot be 100% sure about the species. In Eastern US you need DNA and/or genital dissection to separate several species. Could be Tessellaris, but I would not dare to make a "+".
No estoy segura; quiza es algo similar a la sugerencia porque no se si esta especie se encuentra en Mexico. Buena serie!
