Description:

A distinctive bird with bold features on its head. Usually found low to the ground foraging for seeds and insects.

Habitat:

Spotted in the Wenas Wilderness along the Wenas Road. They arrive in Washington State in early May and leave to their wintering grounds in the SW United States and Mexico in August.
