I've just planted a few Tasmanian native Grevillieas at our place. They are good for attracting nectar eating birds. Like most Australian plant families Grevillea has radiated into hundreds of species over the years. There are so many eco-niches here, thus limited parent species had to adapt to all sorts of environments, and then further adapt to changing environments. I'll post pictures of mine when they flower.
Lori.tas: Thank you very much. I really enjoyed discovering the world of Grevilliea.
Most likely a species of Grevilliea. Have a look here: http://asgap.org.au/grev1.html
