Description:

Seemingly dull birds when feeding in the rice fields, when spooked Glossy Ibis' flocks showcase exquisite colour patterns. Considered a mega rarity in Portugal 20 years ago , this species has expanded west from its mediterranean colonies and can now be found relatively easily if the right habitats are visited.

Habitat:

Rice Fields, reeds and well-vegetated marshes.
