Field Notes

Description:

This sealion was very calmly sleeping on a boat ramp in Punta del Este´s port. Although it has a sea lion full of island nearby, this sealion seems to enjoy taking a nap at the port; even though it is sleeping next to the gas station where the boats get their oil (you can see it on the last picture). I would have said it preferred the island but people who live there said it is common to see this one taking a nap on the ramp, to passer bys delight.

Habitat:

In Punta del Este where the second biggest sealion reserve is: "La isla de Lobos"
