Beautiful series Emily,i think is a russula species,you can ID him us a red russula on common name and russula sp. on the scientific name,russula's are very dificult to ID without microscopic photos of the spores,it's what the better specialists say :-)
Thank you for commenting Miles! I'd love to ID some of my shrooms! I didn't try breaking th stalk. You can see a broken stalk in each one of the pictures above. Not sure if you can tell from that. I will check out your suggestion! Thank you!
This looks like the shrimp russula. Did the stalk break cleanly?
