Field Notes

Description:

Tadpoles are the immature stage of frogs. Image one and four are tadpoles. Other images are fully grown Green Frogs distinguished by the ridge along the back and large external eardrums. Color is highly variable: green, bronze, or brown.

Habitat:

Shallow ponds, springs, swamps creeks and edges of lakes and ponds.

Notes:

Everywhere in healthy areas. No spraying. Abundant in VT.
