Mountains around Spain & North Africa & SW France.

Species ID Suggestions

Booted Eagle

Aquila pennata

Comments (1)

Spanish (Imperial) Eagles have triangular tails and more noticeable translucent "windows" on the secondaries, as well as a minimal amount of streaking on the chest. Wing shape is also suggestive of Booted Eagle, as Spanish Eagles hold their wings straight or curved, similar to Golden Eagles, not bent and reminiscent of Buteos like this.
