Description:

In the photos above, a northern white-tailed deer can be seen feeding on birdseed, and leaping onto fertile soil.

Habitat:

The white-tailed deer can be found throughout North America, from northern Canada to the states of Georgia and Florida. This individual was spotted in a backyard in Fairfield, New Jersey.

Notes:

Diet: White-tailed deer mostly feed on leaves, grasses, fruit, nuts, and plant matter. Occasionally, they may even consume cacti, birds, and small animals.
