Field Notes

Description:

The body of this gorgeous moth is fuzzy and bright yellow. The wings are bright pink with a yellow stripe cutting across towards the abdomen. The legs of this moth are also pink.

Habitat:

Attracted by lights.

Notes:

I used a net to ensure capture until she cooled down enough for me to handle her. This was the second 'big' moth found in the Smoky Mountains.
