Field Notes

Description:

Needles are about 4 inches long with 5 needles in one bundle.Needles are not that sharp and are smooth.Pioneer brought them to the U.S.A. after cutting down Forests.Bark is light brown in color.

Habitat:

In lawns and evergreen forests.

Notes:

Many flys land on the needles.
