They have specialized toe pads that allow them to cling to vegetation, rocks, trees and other surfaces. Currently there are approximately 6430 species of frogs known to science. They compose over 439 genera and belong to 55 different families. The mountain hour glass treefrog is endemic to Sri Lanka and can be found no where else in the world.
