Thanks, James. I had no idea what saphrophytes were. I would never have guessed that this was a plant instead of a mushroom.
plz add to my mission saphrophytes of the appalachians and its not a mushroom its a plant that dosnt photosynthisize

Good find uncommon but you where near to where coral root orchid is found look it up and look for it nxt year at the same time as the Indian pipe
